After our horse sanctuary experience, we headed to Tulsa for the next house sit. (Note: Somehow, I missed this post…so I’m writing it several months after the experience. But, at least I have photos from that time!)
Our November 2025 sit in Tulsa was a new and fun experience–they adopted three new kittens. Yes…three! They are brothers and were adopted from a woman who rescues kittens. a great addition to the household with one dog and two older cats.

It was a great chance for me to get my cat fix. I had forgotten how “rambunctious” kittens can be…and how entertaining. Our host had just decorated the fireplace mantle for the Holiday, and the kittens were obsessed with getting up there to explore and knock things off. But, we made it through the week with no breakage.
Murphy is a super easy old girl to care for. She just loves to sit outside by the pool in the sun…or in the shade depending on the weather.

As for the other cats, the two old girls are slowly getting used to the kittens. They watch them in equal parts curiosity and horror as they chase and play and tumble around the house. But, as long as they keep their distance and behave at feeding time, they are willing to put up with the new and strange interlopers.

Tulsa is a really nice town as well. We usually visit our favorite park there and walk along the river walk. There is also a Dillard’s, so there is always a chance that my shopping itch will get scratched.
