Cincinnati Chili
This is a version of chili unique to the Cincinnati area. It's a bit sweeter and very tasty!
Ingredients
- 1 qt water
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 onions chopped
- 1 can tomato paste 6 oz
- 1.5 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1.5 tsp ground allspice
- 3 bay leaves
Instructions
- Crumble raw ground beef into water.
- Add all other ingredients to water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 3 hours.
- Remove garlic clove and bay leaves before serving.
