Cranberry Crunch Salad
This cranberry salad is sweet and tart and crunchy, satisfying all your mouth's requirements! It can be made sugar free with a couple of modifications.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg cranberry jello 6 oz. size (substitute any red sugar free jello flavor for the sugar-free version)
- 2 cups water boiling
- 1 cup sugar (substitute xylitol for the sugar-free version)
- 1/2 lb cranberries fresh or frozen, chopped
- 3 apples peeled, cored, chopped
- 1 cup celery chopped
- 1 cup walnuts chopped
- 1 can mandarin oranges sm can, chopped
Instructions
- Dissolve jello in boiling water, and set aside to cool.
- Chop apples, celery, walnuts, oranges, and cranberries and mix together.
- Mix sugar into the chopped ingredients.
- When jello begins to “set”, mix jello and sugar/chopped ingredients all together in a 9 x 13 dish.
- Chill in fridge until firm (3 to 5 hours)
