This was our first experience at a true RV resort. It was located in west Texas very close to the Mexican border and just a few miles southeast of Las Cruces, NM. We had planned to stop at a state park a few miles from there, but there were no openings.

We found the facility to be very friendly and well-appointed, with bathrooms and showers. And even though our site was smack-dab in between two larger RVs, we felt like we had enough peace and privacy for an overnight stay. Frankly, we were quite relieved to find a place that had a spot for us!

The only drawback was that the park was right next to a large truck stop. The noise was not so bad, but the wind blew diesel fumes at us all night long. I’m guessing that’s not bothersome in an RV with the HVAC on. But, we sleep with windows open and an exhaust fan moving the air in and out.
