2026-03-18 Camp at FunTown RV, Thackerville, OK

It was a short trip from Emory, but we had been meaning to stop at the FunTown RV Park and decided to take the opportunity to check it out on our way home to Wisconsin. The park came highly recommended by some friends who have stayed there multiple times, and we were anxious to try it ourselves.

Thackerville, Oklahoma is just over the Texas border, a couple of hours from Emory. The RV Park was quiet when we checked in and we had our pick of several sites. We selected a site that did have electric and water hookups. We don’t have water hookups in our camper, and we do have solar power and power stations for boondocking; but, we do appreciate electric when we have access to it. In addition, we were a short walk from the bathrooms, super nice showers, and laundry facilities.

It was a nice and clean RV park. Our site was roomy enough, but kind of out in the open, so it was quite windy. But, it had a fire ring and a nice picnic table. The pool area looked very inviting and had it been warmer outside, we would have enjoyed it. There was also free shuttle service to the Winstar Casino, which is huge. So, we checked it out and had a really tasty and inexpensive taco lunch.

And from Thackerville, we headed home to Eau Claire to rest our weary bones until the next adventure!
